Residents of Trafford Walk came together for a special event organised by our Clarion Response team, providing a valuable opportunity to connect directly with our response team, share concerns and participate in a community clean-up that made a real difference.
Local housing teams, including LiveSmart managers, Neighbourhood Response officers, Resident Involvement staff and Community Wardens, were joined by Clarion Futures, Tenancy Sustainment, and contractors including Swale Heating and IdVerde. Together, all teams were on hand to assist with repairs and offer on-site support to residents, as well as making neighbourhood improvements with a community tidy-up.
Two skips were provided, giving residents an opportunity to clear out unwanted items and reduce fly-tipping in the area.
In addition, our teams carried out:
- 37 repairs that were reported on the day
- Three damp and mould reports recorded with our Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould (LCDM) team
- Five LCDM reports flagged for follow-up by the local surveyor
- Swale Heating completed nine repairs and provided valuable heating and hot water advice.
- General advice and guidance was also available to residents, ensuring their feedback and views were cared for
Our Sustainment Team and Community Wardens were also able to assist a resident, who needed some support with painting his kitchen, helping him feel comfortable and happy in his home.
On our LiveSmart scheme, we transformed one of the front garden areas from dry, untamed shrub to a new garden bed, improving the view for residents on the ground floor and improving the look of the outside green space.
We also installed a separate area for bins, creating a cleaner look and feel, encouraging residents to use the surrounding space to socialise and connect.
Going forward
All resident feedback received during the day was noted, and will be actioned accordingly, such as issues with parking and fencing.
