Our ongoing commitment to your safety post-Grenfell Tower inquiry

Clarion

The second phase of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry report has been released today. This report looks into what caused the tragic fire on 14 June 2017. The findings will help improve fire safety rules, and we are committed to following these new guidelines.

Your safety is our top priority. We regularly provide information about the safety measures in place to protect you, such as fire doors, smoke detectors, alarms, and clear fire escape signs. We also share information on how to reduce fire risks and what to do in case of a fire.

For our higher-risk buildings, a Building Safety Manager visits at least once a month to check safety measures. We inspect communal fire doors every three months and residents’ front doors once a year.

Across the country, we've identified 133 buildings over 11 metres tall that need external wall works. We have finished work on 70 of these buildings and have started or planned work on another 37. We are prioritising the buildings with the most serious problems.

We will continue to review the latest report and its recommendations to ensure we are doing everything possible to keep you safe. Our goal is to go above the safety standards for all our properties whenever we can, and we will look at making improvements based on the findings.

As we reflect on the Grenfell Tower tragedy, we remember those who lost their lives and the impact on the community. We are dedicated to ensuring our homes are safe for everyone.
