Group Executive members meet residents in the South West

Clarion

Michelle Reynolds, Chief Customer Officer, Adrian Cheetham, Director of Repairs, and board member Sharon Crithclow, visited residents to speak to them about what matters most to them and discuss their concerns.

Clarion teams travelled to Bronte House in Exeter and George Downing Housing in Plymouth, to meet with Clarion residents and discuss any issues or concerns they had within their community.

They discussed and celebrated the result of a previous Task & Finish Group which saw improvements to George Downing House' communal garden, led by the local Princes Trust. Residents now have a large patio area and additional garden furniture, so more residents can enjoy outside space.

It was agreed at Bronte House that the Resident Involvement team would set up a Task & Finish Group to work with residents to address any other issues, with the Group Executive team next visiting in February 2025.

At Bronte House, the Task & Finish Group was carried out and saw:

  • Roof repairs
  • Permanent seating on the first floor
  • Replacement of flooring in communal areas
  • An additional notice board on the first floor
  • External and internal communal decorations
  • New external fencing around the site
  • Service charge adjustment for Caretaker illness and clearance of a neglected area

These achievements were a result of collaborative work between residents and the housing team, planned maintenance team, reactive major works team, Clarion Response and contractors.
